Nearly every active code pays out in Premium Potion and Goodie Crates rather than gold. Crates roll potions and, with a chance, Tokens Of RNG — so the practical loop is: redeem codes, open crates, spend tokens in the Daily Shop, craft the potion you actually wanted. Redeeming a big code stack right before a biome window is worth more than opening it the moment you get it.
